The Millennial Wardrobe Curse

Welcome to my newsletter! đŸ’ƒđŸ» Each week I’ll be recapping my recently shared content with a deeper dive on the important details. Let’s go! 💖

Hi, I'm Jade and I'm a millennial.

If you're anything like me, time and time again you've fallen victim to the business-casual wardrobe aesthetic. Don't get me wrong, to this very day, I still go crazy over a beautiful blazer. But...I'm tired of looking like I just came from the office. Especially as a WFH girlie!

So naturally, this led me down a particular path, hunting for a blouse that was elevated above a t-shirt but didn't feature a collar. Surprisingly more difficult than you’d think! During a deep dive on Free People's website, I picked my next recreation victim, the Fall In Love Top.

“How perfect, I have that fabric folded in my stash, pre-washed, and ready to go (umm, sew).“ - me.

So today I'm happy to share a quick tutorial on how I recreated this top.

Here’s a link to the fabric I used for this project. And as always, if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them!

If you’re in the market for a new cutting or craft table solution
I’ve got you! In fact, I think this little DIY is functional no matter your crafting preference.

All that to say, I finally recorded a little video about my cutting table / craft storage situation. All IKEA products, baby!

SHOPPING LIST:

That brings you to ~$250 (minus accessories). Which, is a pretty dang good deal for the size of this table that also provides LOTS of different storage combinations. If you have the patience for Facebook Market Place or OfferUp, I’m sure you could get that cost even lower.

Now I promise to keep this mostly a DIY newsletter as it is my main hobby/passion. But I do love a me a good purchase. Hard to beat that rush of dopamine!

Anyway, these Sezane flats were out of my budget, but I was able to find an alternative that fits within the same vibe. ✹
